For the fifth consecutive year, Syngenta ranked among the world2019s top biotech employers, according to an annual survey conducted by Science magazine. The company finished as the No. 13 employer in this year2019s survey, placing ahead of several industry competitors.
The company is reported to have more than 5,000 research and development (R&D) employees who are said are passionate about bringing winning innovation into the hands of growers to help feed an ever growing population
This year, 3,656 respondents rated companies based on multiple characteristics, including what they saw as driving characteristics of top employers. The top three characteristics for Syngenta were identified as: treating employees with respect, being socially responsible, and doing important, quality research.
